This jacket is inspired by traditional work jackets from the middle of the last century, blending a classic design with traditional 11oz Japanese sashiko.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this jacket features a distinctive Sashiko pattern, adding texture and uniqueness to the fabric. It was traditionally used for crafting sturdy garments such as budo clothes and attire for Japanese firefighters before the emergence of technical fabrics. The indigo color, achieved through rope dyeing, not only provides a deep and rich hue but also promises to age gracefully over time, acquiring unique fades with each wear and wash.
Despite being a Japanese jacket, we find the sizing of this coverall to be more Western than Japanese. If you usually wear a size M in American jackets, you'll find a suitable fit with this jacket in size M. However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.
